DNA Script: Syntax System

DNA Script has launched the Syntax system, a benchtop nucleic acid synthesizer that uses the firm's enzymatic DNA synthesis (EDS) technology. The platform can make 96 DNA oligonucleotides in parallel, each up to 60 nucleotides long. The Syntax system includes a benchtop DNA printer, reagent and consumables kits, and management software. It requires less than 15 minutes of setup time and can synthesize 20-mers in about 6 hours and 60-mers in about 13 hours. The system also purifies, quantifies, and normalizes the oligos.
