CeGaT ExomeXtra Version 6
German genetic diagnostics company CeGaT has launched an updated version of its ExomeXtra test. Version 6 incorporates noncoding splice sites and noncoding RNAs involved in splicing. Specifically, it includes small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs) of spliceosomes, with a focus on RNU4-2. It has also expanded coverage of noncoding variants to more than 46,000 targeted regions and has improved the detection of copy number variants in the genome by adding probes. In addition, the test now screens for infections relevant for prenatal diagnostics including toxoplasmosis, varicella, fifth disease, syphilis, and herpes simplex virus 1 and 2.
