Bio-Rad Laboratories PREvalence ddPCR SARS-CoV-2 Wastewater Quantification Kit

Bio-Rad Laboratories has launched a kit to detect and quantify SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater using the firm's QX200, QX200 AutoDG, or QX One Droplet Digital PCR Systems. The PREvalence ddPCR SARS-CoV-2 Wastewater Quantification Kit is provided with all of the reagents needed to detect the virus in wastewater, including sufficient reagents for 200 reactions and software for automated analysis. The kit detects the N2 and E genes of SARS-CoV-2 as well as a matrix recovery control, all in a single well. The turnaround time from sample to answer using the kit is approximately eight hours.
