Azenta Whole-Genome Sequencing Test

Azenta has launched a long-read whole-genome sequencing test for clinical applications. The test is performed by Azenta company Genewiz through its CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory in South Plainfield, NJ, and uses Pacific Biosciences' Revio sequencer to detect a range of complex genomic alterations that are features of many rare disease and undetectable by traditional approaches, Azenta said. The assay recently received approval from the New Jersey Department of Health, allowing it to be offered clinically, a company spokesperson said.
