Asuragen AmplideX PCR/CE CFTR Kit

Asuragen has launched the AmplideX PCR/CE CFTR Kit to detect variants associated with cystic fibrosis.

The research-use-only PCR and capillary electrophoresis test kit incorporates variants from recent large-scale studies of diverse populations to provide significantly broader coverage of CFTR. Specifically, it is designed to detect approximately 93 percent of CFTR pathogenic variants observed in the US population, providing better variant detection regardless of ancestry, the firm said. The assay includes data analysis software and shares a common workflow with other products in the AmplideX portfolio.
