Agilent GenetiSure Dx Postnatal Assay

Agilent Technologies has launched the GenetiSure Dx Postnatal Assay. The assay uses the company's comparative genomic hybridization technology, which provides data on copy number variations and absence of heterozygosity. The test will help clinical labs implement cytogenetic testing, Agilent said.

Lexogen Quantitative RNA-Seq Service

Lexogen has launched its RNA-Seq service. It uses the company's QuantSeq technology to produce gene expression profiles. The library preparation procedure is automated and the workflow allows for a high degree of multiplexing, the company said. The service costs €248 per sample, which includes library preparation, lane mixing, sequencing, and all required quality controls for processing 48 samples concurrently. Customers are then sent a report that provides data analysis down to the differential gene expression. Further analyses are available upon request.

Courtagen Spotlight Genetic Tests for Neuromuscular Disorders

Courtagen Life Sciences has launched an expansion of its Spotlight test menu in neurology and endocrinology. The 10 new gene panels increase the company's selection of tests available for epilepsy, developmental delay, endocrinology, and mitochondrial disease. They primarily address neuromuscular disorders, such as congenital myasthenia, hereditary spastic paraplegia, congenital and limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, and myopathies, and one new endocrine disorder test for Bardet Biedl syndrome.
