NEW YORK, Dec. 12 — The North Carolina Genomics and Bioinformatics Consortium, a membership organization of state genomics and bioinformatics interests, has made an agreement with research tool provider MWG Biotech for discounted instruments and services.
By the agreement, MWG Biotech will provide 10 to 25 percent discounts to 73 local companies and institutions. Products include oligonucleotides, sequencing services, thermal cyclers, catalog and custom microarrays.
Members of the consortium will in turn provide MWG Biotech with feedback on its products.
MWG Biotech, based in Ebersberg, Germany, provides a range of standard and custom services for genomics and bioinformatics researchers.
