Zymo Research Gets CE-IVD Mark for Viral Nucleic Acid Purification Kit

NEW YORK — Zymo Research said on Monday that it has received CE-IVD marking for its Quick-DNA/RNA Viral MagBead Kit.

According to Irvine, California-based Zymo, the kit is designed for the high-throughput purification of viral DNA and/or RNA from biological samples, including ones being tested for SARS-CoV-2, stored in it its DNA/RNA Shield sample collection and preservation devices.

In September, Zymo received CE-IVD marks for three of its DNA/RNA Shield products. The company also recently got CE-IVD marking for its Quick SARS-CoV-2 rRT-PCR kit.

"All products in our COVID-19 testing workflow are now CE IVD marked, thus helping our clinical customers in the EU and beyond," Zymo researcher Stanislav Forman said in a statement.
