Streck, Biodesix Ink Supply Deal

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Streck announced today that it has signed a deal to become the exclusive supplier of DNA and RNA tubes for molecular diagnostics developer Biodesix.

According to Streck, the deal will allow Biodesix to use its technology, including its blood collection tubes, in its products and services. Additional terms were not disclosed.

"Biodesix will include Streck's blood collection tubes with GeneStrat, a targeted liquid biopsy mutation test for patients with advanced lung cancer, run in our CLIA-certified laboratory," Gary Pestano, Biodesix vice president of product development and operations, said in a statement. "We selected Streck tubes because they effectively stabilize the circulating DNA and RNA in patient samples, allowing for convenient sample collection and shipment without the need for immediate plasma isolation."
