NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Roche today announced it has designated Diagnostic Laboratory Services a Roche Molecular Center of Excellence.
The Hawaii-based medical testing laboratory offers routine and esoteric testing services and has locations throughout the state as well as Saipan and Guam. As one of 33 Roche MCOEs in the US, DLS will offer physicians and patients the company's molecular technologies, including the cobas CT/NG v.2.0 test, a qualitative in vitro test for detecting chlamydia and gonorrhea infections.
Roche said it created the MCOE program in 2002 to enable non-competing regional labs in the US to collaborate with Roche and capitalize on new molecular technologies, which subsequently will help accelerate new test methods and technologies.
