NEW YORK — Italian diagnostics firm EliTech Group said on Tuesday that South Korea's OsangHealthcare has received CE marking for its GeneFinder COVID-19 RealAmp Kit for the detection of SARS-CoV-2.
The kit is designed to detect the RdRP gene, E gene, and N gene of the virus, according to EliTech. It runs on EliTech's Elite InGenius sample-to-result platform, as well as all major thermocyclers.
EliTech said that the kit is now available for sale worldwide as part of a strategic commercial partnership with OsangHealthcare, and that it complements the menu of 37 CE-IVD infectiosu disease kits already available on the Elite InGenius system.
