NEW YORK — Genetic test provider MyHealthChecked said on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement to offer its at-home SARS-CoV-2 testing service through British pharmacy chain Boots.
The MyHealthChecked COVID-19 at-home nasal swab kit uses Yourgene Health's Clarigene SARS-CoV-2 PCR test and EKF Diagnostics' PrimeStore MTM sample collection device. It is being commercialized through MyHealthChecked subsidiary Concepta Diagnostics.
Under the terms of the deal, the test kit will be available in Boots' stores and through the retailer's website, with Boots receiving an unspecified commission on sales. Samples are analyzed by MyHealthChecked and Yourgene, and results are provided within 48 hours via an online portal.
The nonexclusive agreement has an initial term of 12 months, after which there is a one-month notice period for termination. Additional terms were not disclosed.
UK-based MyHealthChecked also said it has signed a separate agreement making Yourgene its exclusive external provider of testing services, with a minimum testing volume of 200 tests a week and 800 tests per month for the first three months of the deal. The agreement is subject to a six-month notice clause.
