RainDance Technologies this week announced that Patrick Kelly has been named to the newly created position of European sales director, effective immediately.

Prior to joining RainDance, Kelly was global business manager for Helicos Biosciences' European operations. He previously was business team manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Agilent Technologies.

Kelly also was European site manager and vice president of sales and support for Affymetrix Europe, and served as European sales manager for genetic analysis systems at Applied Biosystems.
