GE has named Sue Siegel to serve as CEO of its Healthymagination initiative.
Siegel joins GE from Mohr Davidow Ventures. Prior to that, she was president of Affymetrix. She takes over the CEO role from Mike Barber, who led the initiative since 2009 but has since been named vice president and general manager of molecular imaging at GE Healthcare.
All eight of Affymetrix's nominees have been elected to its board of directors by the firm's shareholders. The board includes Stephen Fodor, Frank Witney, Nelson Chan, John Diekman, Gary Guthart, Jami Dover Nachtsheim, Robert Trice, and Robert Wayman.
Fodor is founder and executive chairman of the firm, while Witney is CEO and president. Wayman was elected by the independent directors to serve as lead director.
HTG Molecular Diagnostics has hired Chris Roberts to serve as vice president of medical innovation. Roberts joins HTG from Caris Life Science, where he was VP of the oncology division. Previous to that, he worked at Ventana Medical Systems as a director in the molecular diagnostic and strategic marketing divisions.
