CombiMatrix has appointed Jeff Hayes as director of sales for the oncology market. Before joining the Irvine, Calif.-based molecular diagnostics firm, Hayes held marketing management positions with Schering-Plough and Eli Lilly, as well as sales management roles with US Labs and Plus Diagnostics.

Hayes will head the sales effort for CombiMatrix's DNAarray test portfolio, which includes its DNAarray Heme Profile for hematologic malignancies, DNAarray Tumor Profile for various solid tumors, and DNAarray Breast Profile.

Separately, CombiMatrix said last week that Daniel Forche plans to resign from his position as senior vice president of sales and marketing in order to pursue other opportunities.
