Ezose Teams with Merck on Diabetes Research

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Ezose Sciences today said that it has signed an agreement with Merck to conduct a diabetes biomarker discovery research project.

The collaboration will use Ezose's GlycanMap platform to identify changes in glycan patterns on post-translationally modified proteins from human subjects. Ezose did not disclose financial or other terms of the agreement but said that it builds on a series of collaborative studies previously conducted with the New Jersey-based drug giant.

Pine Brook, NJ-based Ezose's GlycanMap platform combines high-throughput glycan enrichment with specialized MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and bioinformatics to identify and quantitate glycans in complex biological samples.
