NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Sony today announced it has acquired microfluidics-based diagnostic tools firm Micronics for an undisclosed amount.

The deal was done through Sony's wholly-owned US subsidiary Sony Corporation of America and is expected to accelerate Sony's own R&D work in the point-of-care space and to hasten commercialization of Micronics' products.
