Genomic Health has hired Sam Levy as chief scientific officer, replacing Joffre Baker, who has resigned that post and will now serve as senior biology fellow at Genomic Health. Levy is the director of genomic sciences at Scripps Translational Science Institute and Scripps Genomic Medicine, as well as a professor of molecular and experimental medicine at the Scripps Research Institute. Previously, Levy served as director and professor in human genomics at the J. Craig Venter Institute, where he was the leading scientist on the first published diploid genome sequence of a human.
