People in the News: Joffre Baker, Steven Shak, Felix Baker

Joffre Baker is no longer chief scientific officer at Genomic Health, the company disclosed this week in a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Baker is now a senior fellow at the company. Steven Shak, chief medical officer, has assumed responsibility for managing the research operations, which were formerly handled by Baker.

Additionally, Genomic Health's board of directors appointed Felix Baker as a member of the board and to the board's compensation committee. He is currently director of Seattle Genetics and Synageva BioPharm. He holds a BS and PhD in immunology from Stanford University.
