NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Analytical instrument firm Leco announced today an agreement with the US Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to develop metabolomic applications and tools.

The deal provides Berkeley Lab's Life Sciences Division access to Leco's Citius LC-High Resolution TOF-MS. The instrument provides acquisition speeds of up to 200 spectra per second, mass resolution up to 100,000 full width at half maximum (FWHM) and mass accuracy less than 1 parts per million, Leco said.
