Yury Rozenman, Roger Brent, David Thomas


Yury Rozenman, formerly senior vice president of supercomputing and bioinformatics at Juno Online Services, has joined Platform Computing of Markham, ON, Canada, where he will direct business development of the company’s life sciences division.

Juno recently phased out its distributed computing efforts following its merger with NetZero to form United Online.


Interomex BioPharmaceuticals of Vancouver, BC, Canada, has added three members to its scientific advisory board. Roger Brent, who will be the board’s chair, is director of research at the Molecular Sciences Institute in Berkeley, Calif. Francis Ouellette, a former coordinator of GenBank at the National Center for Biotechnology Information, is currently director of the Canadian Genetics Disease Network Core Facility in Bioinformatics at the University of British Columbia. David Thomas is chair of the biochemistry department at McGill University in Montreal. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
