WASHINGTON--David Beier, vice-president of government relations for California biotechnology firm Genentech, has been tapped by US Vice-President Al Gore to become Gore's chief domestic policy advisor. Beier spent the last nine years with Genentech. Previously he served as a staff member to the House Judiciary Committee for 10 years.
Walter Moore, who has been senior director of government affairs at Genentech since 1993 and was previously Eli Lilly's government relations manager, will replace Beier as Genentech's government affairs vice-president.
