Trevor Heritage, Timothy Campbell, Alex Drijver, Ferenc Csizmadia

Symyx Technologies has promoted Trevor Heritage to president of its Symyx Software business unit. Heritage was previously senior vice president of MDL Information Systems’ Workflow Business Group and joined Symyx in October 2007 as a result of the company's acquisition of MDL.
 
Prior to MDL, Heritage was a senior vice president, corporate officer, and general manager of Tripos’ discovery informatics business.
 
Heritage succeeds Timothy Campbell, who will be leaving Symyx to become CEO of an undisclosed supply chain software company.
 

 
ChemAxon has hired Alex Drijver as CEO. He replaces Ferenc Csizmadia, founder and former CEO, who is moving to chairman and head of research and development.
 
Drijver was most recently CEO and CFO of ThalesNano, a Budapest-based manufacturer of novel microfluidic based instruments for chemical synthesis. Prior to that, he was CFO of ComGenex, a chemistry services provider that is now part of Albany Molecular.
