TimeLogic Will Add Two Algorithms to DeCypher Line of Accelerators

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev.--TimeLogic announced the addition of NCBI PSI-BLAST and Profile Search algorithms to its DeCypher line of accelerated computational genomics servers. Added to the existing complement of computational algorithms, including Smith-Waterman, FrameSearch, Sym metric Frame Independent, and ClustaIW, the new algorithms provide capabilities to find and grade matches between related genomic sequences, the company said. Profile Search extends the sensitivity of Smith-Waterman when searching for specific protein families or new members to extant sequence clusters, explained TimeLogic Vice-President for Engineering Jim Lindelien. The new algorithms are being supplied to existing Time Logic customers with ES DeCypher machines at no charge.
