TIGR Makes Maize Gene Index Available Online


ROCKVILLE, Md.--The gene index group at the Institute for Genomic Research has released its ZmGI maize gene index--an estimate of transcribed maize sequences based on publicly available expressed-sequence-tag data. TIGR maintains gene indices for a number of other organisms, including human, mouse, rat, zebrafish, Drosophila, Arabidopsis, rice, tomato, and soybean, and plans to compile a potato index next year.
