Tibco, Chemaxon to Offer Integrated Cheminformatics Solution

Premium

Tibco said this week that it has integrated its Tibco Spotfire Analytics platform with ChemAxon's Instant JChem data management application — a tool that allows scientists to manage and search chemical structures and related information.

The partners expect that the combined solution will provide JChem users with improved chemical search, analysis, and visualization capabilities.

Specifically, chemists can use the combined tools to evaluate data from screening; absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion; and chemistry research efforts focusing on compound series. Scientists can then use this information to prioritize which compounds to synthesize.

Additionally, users can incorporate new information into the platform and spot trends in complex datasets using multiple linking visualizations and chemical structure viewing.

Financial details about the agreement were not disclosed.
