Tibco to Acquire Spotfire for $195M in Cash

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Tibco Software today said it plans to acquire Spotfire, an imaging and business-analysis software company, for $195 million in cash.
 
Tibco said it intends to keep Spotfire as a distinct brand and business unit within the company.
 
Tibco said it expects the deal, which has yet to receive regulatory approval, to close in the third quarter.
