Takara Bio Selects Genedata Expressionist to Analyze NGS Data

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Genedata announced today that Takara Bio has chosen the Genedata Expressionist software platform for use in all its genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics research.

Takara will use the Expressionist software to automate and standardize data processing and analysis of all NGS and microarray data at its genome analysis center, integrating it with tools developed in house and by third parties, the company said in a statement. Takara will use the platform both in its own research in cell therapy and regenerative medicine and in its contracted research services business.

"Genedata helps us to continue to deliver on our promise by providing a software platform which automates and manages NGS data analysis workflows," Takara Bio CEO Masanari Kitagawa said in a statement.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
