Swiss Biopharma Licenses Dotmatics Suite for Preclinical Research Data Management


Dotmatics has licensed its informatics suite to Basilea Pharmaceutica, a Swiss biopharmaceutical company, which will use the tools to manage its preclinical research data.

Dotmatics' platform provides tools for registering, analyzing, and managing scientific data; an electronic laboratory notebook for chemistry and biology experiments; and the ability to query, visualize, and report research data.

The suite includes Browser, a web-based tool for querying, browsing and visualizing biological databases; Vortex, a visualization and analytics platform for scientific and non-scientific data; Bioregister, a web-based tool for registering biological entities; Gateway, which enables research teams to share information internally and with external partners; and Register, a chemical registration system; among other tools.

The financial details of the licensing agreement were not disclosed.
