Tripos has released Surflex-Dock, a flexible molecular docking algorithm developed by Ajay Jain, a faculty member at the University of California San Francisco Cancer Research Institute. Surflex-Dock "couples a unique scoring function with a patented search engine," Jain said in a statement. Tripos said that the algorithm has been "extensively validated and favorably compared with all leading competing methods by independent researchers." Surflex-Dock is immediately available as part of Tripos' Sybyl molecular modeling environment.
