Strata Biosciences Appoints Lane CEO


ALAMEDA, Calif.--Strata Bio sciences, a functional genomics company here that uses proprietary technologies combining molecular biology, high-throughput screening, and cell-based models to discover disease causing genes, has hired Douglas Lane as president and CEO. Lane was recently vice-president of genomic research at CapCURE, a foundation seeking cures for prostate cancer. Previously, he was vice-president of corporate development at Hyseq and spent seven years in the position of business development director for SmithKline Beecham where he was instrumental in managing alliances with Human Genome Sciences and the Institute for Genomic Research.
