Steven Smith, Albrecht Frauendorf


Microarray developer NimbleGen Systems of Madison, Wis., has tapped Steven Smith as its new vice president of bioinformatics. Smith, formerly manager of R&D at Genetics Computer Group, most recently headed up his own bioinformatics consulting firm, Genesmith Informatics. The company also appointed Albrecht Frauendorf, most recently director of DNA microarray operations at Protogene, as senior director of DNA array manufacturing.
