Stephanie Reisinger, David Lipman, Janet Thornton


ProSanos has recruited Stephanie Reisinger, formerly CIO of GeneFormatics, to head its new Harrisburg, Penn.-based product development office as VP of development. The office is located in an incubator operated by the Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania, which awarded the company a grant of undisclosed amount last week. The grant will support a collaboration between ProSanos and the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center to study mechanisms involved in neurological disease.


David Lipman, director of the National Center for Biotechnology Information, and Janet Thornton, director of the European Bioinformatics Institute, were among the 72 new members and 18 foreign associates elected to the National Academy of Sciences last week.
