Market research and consulting firm BioInformatics has appointed Rowena Roberts as director of marketing and sales. Roberts was most recently senior director of marketing and R&D for KPL, a manufacturer and supplier of immunochemicals for life science research and in vitro diagnostics. She has also held marketing management positions at IGEN International, W.R. Grace & Co., and Invitrogen.
 

 
Future Science Group has appointed Nick Fallon as publisher of its new database venture, Future Biology, which plans to develop and launch a number of “focused databases,” with plans for the first launch in 2008. Fallon was most recently director of product management for Thomson Scientific.
