Roche 454, SoftGenetics to Co-promote NGS Software Tools

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Roche 454 Life Sciences and SoftGenetics today said that they would co-promote next-generation sequencing software tools.

The alliance is aimed at providing users of 454's sequencing systems with next-generation sequencing data analysis options provided by SoftGenetics' NextGene software. The firms said the software can be used with 454 sequencing for a variety of applications including targeted amplicon resequencing, exome sequencing, transcriptome sequencing, and forensic profiling.

SoftGenetics' software is provided as an option for users of the 454 systems in addition to the GS Data Analysis Software suite that is already provided with the platform.

Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
