Pfizer is First Subscriber To GPCR Database from LifeSpan BioSciences

EATTLE, Wash.--LifeSpan BioSciences announced that Pfizer is the first subscriber to its database of information on the expression and localization of G-protein-coupled receptors, a large family of cell-surface molecules that act as cellular receptors for many biologically active compounds and pharmaceuticals.

Pfizer has become a subscriber to receive early access to localization data on GPCR targets, which will be added continuously to the database throughout a two-year period, said LifeSpan. Subscribers will be able to request which GPCR genes should be included in the database based on their internal interests.
