Paradigm Exceeds First Monsanto Milestone


RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC--Paradigm Genetics, announced that it has exceeded by 20 percent the first milestone in its $55 million collaboration agreement with Monsanto (now known as Pharmacia) in the field of functional genomics. By exceeding this milestone, Paradigm will receive an accelerated milestone payment.


Paradigm is using its GeneFunction Factory to determine the function of genes selected by Pharmacia for use in future products. Paradigm will share in product revenues generated through this collaboration in the form of product milestone payments and royalties.
