Paracel Sells GeneMatcher Analysis Engine to Incyte

ASADENA, Calif.--Paracel announced last month that Incyte Pharmaceuticals has purchased Paracel’s massively parallel genetic data analysis engine for high-throughput search and annotation, GeneMatcher. Steve Lincoln, Incyte’s vice-president for bioinformatics R&D, said GeneMatcher is particularly well-suited for the high-thoughput application of hidden Markov models. "The scientific accuracy of GeneMatcher is an important element in Incyte’s ability to develop valuable databases for medical researchers," he added.
