PASADENA, Calif.--Paracel here, a developer of high-performance bioinformatics data analysis systems, has appointed J.R. Tozer as its new vice-president of marketing. He will coordinate the company's marketing, product planning, and promotion.
Tozer, who has 10 years experience in the bioinformatics field, formerly worked in marketing for the software company Molecular Simulations. He also founded GeneCraft, another molecular biology software firm. He has been involved in the creation and introduction of a number of bioinformatics products.
Commenting on his new employer, Tozer said, "As a result of recent advances in their computational hardware they are poised to play a fundamental role in any laboratory with significant need for genomic data processing and bioinformatics analyses."
