Premium

OAKLAND, Calif.--Bioinformatics company Pangea Systems announced the appointment of Ward Wolff to senior vice-president and chief financial officer. Wolff joined Pangea from Premenos Technology, a provider of electronic commerce software and services, where he had been CFO since 1992.

Earlier this month, Pangea and Intelligent Medical Objects of Chicago announced a three-year collaboration aimed at standardizing the way medical and veterinary information is described and tracked in biopharmaceutical research. By incorporating Medical Objects' Medical Lexicon into Pangea's information management environment, Pangea customers will be able to use an integrated coding system to collect and annotate the physiological samples employed in their gene expression and pharmacogenomic databases.
