Organon Taps Newhouse As Major Research Site

NEWHOUSE, Lanarkshire--Organon, the pharmaceutical business unit of Akzo Nobel has announced that it will invest £16 million to turn its research site here into the new center of the company's worldwide research into drugs to treat central nervous system disorders. The improvements will be made over the next two years, and will accommodate 60 new scientists, including bioinformaticists, bringing the total number of researchers working at the facility to about 150, according to the company.
