Orchid Receives Another DNA Genotyping Patent

RINCETON, NJ--Orchid Biocomputer said that it has received a key genotyping technology patent that adds to the company’s SNP patent portfolio and supports its primer extension genotyping technology. "Orchid is making primer extension genotyping technology widely available in the form of its own products and services as well as by entering into collaborations with other leading companies that rely on genotyping technologies to conduct their research and develop products," said Michael Boyce-Jacino, Orchid’s vice-president of genomics R&D. The company expects the new patent to improve the development process of pharmaceutical products in multiple markets.
