Invitrogen has named Michael Stapleton general manager and vice president of its bioinformatics business and Vivien Bonazzi director of R&D for bioinformatics. Both positions “exemplify Invitrogen’s commitment to making bioinformatics an integral part of its solution set for life science research,” the company said in a statement. Stapleton most recently served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Accelrys. Bonazzi was director of product development and scientific management at Celera Genomics before joining Invitrogen.

, PanVera, and Invitrogen.
