Markus Rampp, Thomas Soddemann, Thomas Heydler


Germany’s Max Planck Society has awarded the 2004 Heinz Billing Award for the Advancement of Scientific Computation to Markus Rampp and Thomas Soddemann for developing MiGenAS (Microbial Genome Analysis System), a bioinformatics workflow management package. The award is worth €3,000.

Definiens has appointed Thomas Heydler as its new CEO. Prior to joining Definiens, Thomas was president and CEO at InterPro Business Solutions and Barcelona Design. He also served as vice president at Documentum, and held senior management positions at Cadence Design Systems and Siemens.
