Lion Bioscience Expands Board, Adds Sales Staff


HEIDELBERG, Germany--Bioinformatics company Lion Bioscience announced the appointment of two senior managers in sales and marketing and the appointment of Klaus Sprockamp to its executive board. Sprockamp, who has 15 years' experience in industry and as an international management consultant for the automotive, chemical, and machinery industries, will oversee finance, administration, and internal organization at Lion. In management, Lion announced that Linda Kirsch joined the company as vice-president of sales and business development, life sciences informatics, and that Christian Marcazzo is the firm's SRS product manager. Kirsch has more than 20 years' experience selling scientific software and instrumentation. Marcazzo is trained in molecular biology and bioinformatics. Both are former employees of Molecular Applications Group.
