Linguamatics to Integrate I2E Text-Mining Software with Accelrys' Pipeline Pilot

Premium

Linguamatics said today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Accelrys under which it will integrate its I2E natural language processing technology with Accelrys' Pipeline Pilot scientific informatics platform.

The integration will allow customers of both companies to add NLP-based querying to Pipeline Pilot workflows via Accelrys web clients.

I2E gives users the ability to automate document indexing and querying, as well as to perform interactive information extraction. "Embedding I2E within Pipeline Pilot workflows enables further streamlining of the process for high-throughput text mining, and provides access to additional content processing, analytics and output display options," the company said.

Accelrys already provides a Text Analytics module for Pipeline Pilot, which includes tools for document searching and text mining. Frank Brown, senior vice president and chief science officer of Accelrys, said that the I2E capability will allow users to go beyond these "native capabilities for text and document search and analysis [and] provides deeper, specialty capabilities for text in Pipeline Pilot.”
