Lexicon, Scripps in Gene Function Collaboration

HE WOODLANDS, Tex.--Lexicon Genetics and the Scripps Research Institute have formed a functional genomics collaboration relating to a gene identified by the institute. Lexicon will use its proprietary homologous recombination technology to generate knockout mice for the gene and collaborate in research to define its function and potential role in human disease. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
