NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Knome announced on Friday the closing of a financing round that brought in $13 million.
The funds will go toward growing out the Cambridge, Mass.-based bioinformatics firm's genomic services and software systems business, it said. A company official declined to disclose the investors in the round, as well as the series and tranche.
Knome said in October in a regulatory document that it raised $5.8 million. The $13 million financing includes the October raise, the company official said.
