Karp Departs Pangea Systems to Return to SRI

ENLO PARK, Calif.--Peter Karp has vacated his position as vice-president for pathway research at Pangea Systems, which was recently re-launched as DoubleTwist, to direct the bioinformatics research group at the Artificial Intelligence Center at SRI International, a nonprofit research institute. Karp, who worked at the institute before joining Pangea, said he would continue to develop the EcoCyc database and Pathway Tools that he had been developing at Pangea.
