Jim Barrington, Peter Sany, MaryAnn Guerra


Novartis has appointed Jim Barrington as chief information officer of the Novartis Group and of the Novartis Pharma Division. Jim Barrington joined Novartis in 2001 as CIO. Prior to joining the company, he held senior IT positions with ABB, Eli Lilly, Gillette, and Whirlpool. Barrington succeeds Peter Sany, who left the company to pursue other interests.

The Translational Genomics Research Institute has hired MaryAnn Guerra as VP of research operations. Guerra joins TGen from the Matthews Media Group, where she was executive VP of the company.
